Our "package" containing 20 assorted brown egg layers from My Pet Chicken arrived this morning(post office called us at 5:45am - that's when you know you live in the country:lol:). Anyhow, their breeds aren't listed so it's "Name That Chicken." I think some are Barred Plymouth Rocks and Rhode Island Reds. Any guesses? If need be, I can take individual portraits. Here's a link to all the possibilities. http://www.mypetchicken.com/catalog/Brown-Egg-Layers-c64.aspx

I'm seeing Barred Rocks, RIRs/Production Reds, Black Australorps and Buff Orpingtons. Also maybe a Red Sexlink. I'm not sure what the chipmunk one is, but I'm sure somebody will.

I see barred rocks, buff orphingtons, some kind of red like red-sex link or RIR I think I saw muffs on the chipmunck one if so that might be an EE, maybe a black sex link or Australorps

Thought maybe it was a packing peanut or oops. They say that their EE's might lay brown eggs. Just a thought I have one that looks like that but its a Brown Leghorn and they lay white eggs so not sure.
Just went to the site their wellsummer chicks look like chipmunk so maybe that is what she is.

Hello I also have ordered dark egg layers from Eggsetera.com in Cottage Grove. Marans, Welsummer, Speckled Suzzex, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte, and Easter Eggers. Check her out you live close enough to pick them up. Good luck your chicks are cute.

Actually, Welsummer is an option. I'll take a close-up shot of the chipmunk in a little bit(still working on morning chores). There's also a brownish colored chick with chipmunk markings. You can see her in the back left-hand side. Not sure what she is. Thanks for the help, though. This is fun.
