20 Week So?

Were we surprised! Got our first egg after about 18 weeks. Only 1 each day so far and not until late morning or early afternoon. That normal?

You must have some variety of sex link hens, 20 weeks is the average for the early breeds, 18 is not unheard of, one a day can be normal, and they lay at most anytime of the day.

18 to 24 weeks is the normal range for most breeds.
Sexlinks and other high production breeds can start as early as 16 weeks.
