Hi Ya'll
I didn't know where to put this so if it needs to be moved,. please do,..
I am just curious as to why these are so valuable?

Does anybody on BYC have this breed or is familiar with this chicken?

I'm always looking for the rare and unusual,... but that's a lot of money and I don't know if it's just a bidding war by folks that were looking for that breed or are they always this much money?

Thanks

Probably a new variety. I remember a few months ago when someone had listed silver-laced brahmas I believe they were...those eggs went for over $800 if I remember correctly.

It almost seems like it would be less expensive to breed your own.

I wonder if those new varieties breed true,... it would be a huge disappointment if they didn't.

Now I want to see a silver-laced brahma,...

Roo has some pretty to him, love that wreath of black feathers around the shoulders... come to think of it it kinda reminds me of Cruella wearing a fur... yikes... anywho, they're interesting, even pretty, but that's not my primary concern when it comes to chickens so no way would I splurge on that.

Nice to see the NPIP/GPIP certificate though...
