Very nice deer, venison is my favorite, next to chicken! I got a nice 8 point and doe in western NY last year, going back this year. Not too many deer in my part of Vermont, too much flippin' snow.

Man, I want some deer sausage and ground deer meat!!!!!!!

It has been so long!

Hubby got a bow and he has never hunted before nor know how to go about getting permits or how to dress deer or someone would do it for him? I hope he can buddy buddy up with someone and go from there.

We only got a small freezer..how big of a freezer I would need. Hubby is vegetarian and me and my four year old daughter are meat eaters......

Can you process the meat yourself or does it need to be processed by US approved processor?

Never had done this but sure would love to contribute to limit deer populations here in Illinois, they are so bad that everynight you will find one hitting a windshield of cars going down on highways.

Several times a week I'll look out my bathroom window and there will be a BIG deer
having it's morning breakfast on the variety of tasty plants thay grow on my hill.

I've thought about how easy it would be to shoot the thing from inside my house
and fill the freezer. Nope, can't do it. Now if it gets into my garden maybe.

Ahhh, the freezers are full of chicken anyways.

I never had deer meat. Ya all seem to like it.
