Just talked to my dad, and he said "I don't care what you do"

So looks like we can have this thing at my house, if we want to!!!

We can go in the horse pasture by the pond, so if it's not too cool the kids can go swimming. No turtles, but there are some pretty big catfish in there!!

Like I said, I have a 10x10 dining canopy, but I'm sure we'll need more, there isn't any shade in the pasture to speak of, except the big cherry tree that the horses are always under.....road apples anyone??

I just want to say it sounds like great fun! I hope you have a very successfull Chickenstock. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I don't know if Rob and I will be attending but I can ask!

Hey Shelley, if we can drive our vehicles through the fence where you unhook it in that field in front of the pond, park up closer to the house end of it though. Then the lower part could be used for the tents like you said... Your dad won't have to worry about having all the autos in the front yard then... That field is way big enough to do that.

You'd be about 2-2 1/2 hrs Through Bardstown and down 200 is it? Through hodgenville to cambellsvill then Columbia

Yep, it's about 1 1/2 to 2 hours south of Louisville. You take the hodgenville exit, then 61 to 210. 210 turns into 55, which takes you all the way to Columbia. We are about 12 miles east of Columbia. I can pm you my addy if you want, so you can google it.
Distance-wise it's about 100 miles south of Louisville.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. We'd have to move the horses, Friday is a butthead, always trying to nip you

Plus the big dumby would probably raid the food tables

So we'll need some tents or canopies. I have one, anyone else have any??

I'm thinking we could borrow some tables from the fire dept. or something similar. I know a friend of mine in IN always does that (borrows fire dept. tables) for yard sales and such. I would imagine they would do that here.

My dad's church has gotten a huge tent for revivals before, I don't know if it is theirs or if they've borrowed it. But I'll ask.

What else?? We need to pick a date!!! What do you guys think? Early September or late? I was thinking on a Saturday, I need input people!!

Half of our tables came from our FIL's chuch. We also had many people that had their own canopy's but no one needed them. I would just post the things needed on the main page and see what people are able to bring.
