I'm very glad you didn't get any 'how many hillbillies does it take to catch a duck' pics, I bet that was a sight!

Bruce is getting a little "Grisly Adams'ish, wonder what's up with that? Guess country life agrees with him

he needs a haircut, and maybe a beard trim.... the cows don't care if he's a bit overgown

and about the Hillbilly pic... how do you know that she's finished uploading?

Nope I was too busy talking when all that was going on... Although the thought did cross my mind when Christy metioned videoing the fiasco...

I'm glad everyone was happy with the chickens.

I do have one more columbian rock (that escaped the net this morning

) Maybe I'll let her stay awhile longer.

I close the brooder coop during the day, to keep the big chickens out of it (they scratch the crap out of the bedding, throw it everywhere) so at night the brooder chickens have to wait for me to open the door. Tonight BabyMama was waiting (not very patiently) when I went out with calf bottles to feed, and she hopped down from her perch on the porch rail to follow me, complaining the entire way

I love that silly chicken.

I believe white is more or less a cover for other colors, most times anyway. So there could be whites or blues or blacks, or whatever else the white is covering...at least that's how it works with silkies

I still have a mottled cochin cockerel here, he was telling me just how much he'd love to come to your place!

What a nice day it was, and I'm glad I had the chance to meet so many of you. Shelley, thank you for having us. I know you put a lot into hosting the event.

For those whom I didn't get a chance to speak with before we left, if you have occasion to come to Hart co., (about a half hour south of E-town) please PM me, and I'd be happy to have you stop in to visit.

Meri, thanks for the quail, that was the first I've ever had, very nice!

Now, we'll have to see about that Voodoo Barbie...
