hey, we're heading out in about a half hour! husband bought a24-pack of hot dogs at the store. but only 16 buns. so if anyone brings more buns, they'll be set on the hot dog front!

brownies are made, roosters about to be caught, cages stuffed in the truck. we'll be leaving about 9:30 a.m. to arrive around 11:30 a.m. (long drive for us, coming from shelbyville!)

I did notice the mapquest directions are different at the end than the google ones. So I'm going with Google since that's the one that Shelley posted.
 
Sorry I had to miss out on the fun today and for being out of touch. I was away on family matters earlier and when I got home I wound up in the hospital myself. I just got out this morning. I hope everyone had a good time. More later,

It was fun today, lots of people, I got to put faces with names.

I'm tired. I would love to sit down in a chair and take a nap, but I have to feed calves.

In the raffle thingy I got some biscotti (double chocolate - it's very good

) and some bantam cochin eggs. I have the cochin eggs in the bator already along with the bantam barred rock eggs from Estpr13. My fan in the bator stopped working, so I need hubby to fix me another one to put in there, but they're fine as they are for now.

I'm so glad it didn't rain!! It sprinkled a bit on the way home but the sun was shining, so I am thinking it probably didn't even rain over at Shelley's house.

It was a lot of fun, I hope there were some great pictures taken! I didn't even bring my camera out, but I was all over the place, so probably wouldn't have taken many pictures anyway.

I know there were several pictures of the great duck hunt taken, so those will be a hoot!

Finally caught that darned duck!!! It only took what? 5? 6? people, but we got him! Sure hope he has a happy life, with all the trouble he was to catch

All in all, I think it went over well. There weren't as many here as there was at the IN one, but it was still nice

Shelley, thanks so much for everything, and especially the monster-sized drake! He is a happy fellow already. Seriously. Let's just say that my female duck is no longer pure and innocent! And on the first date and everything. As if I taught her nothing!

Meri, it was nice to meet you and your husband. Thanks again for the yummy quail. That was the first time I ever tasted quail and it was really good.

Oh, and Judy, when you make it home, please know that your keets are safe and warm in our brooder. They made it home and chirped all the way! Thanks so much for bringing them.

It was nice to meet everyone and put faces to names. My little guy is sooooooo tired. He napped briefly on the way home and now he's crashed for the night. All the kids wore him out!
 
Had LOADS of fun today... It was great meeting everyone I hadn't yet met and seeing ones again that I had met... Am uploading phone cam photos to my phbucket acct right now... Hope they didn't turn out too bad... Hate it that I forgot my camera

Layne and Leighton had lots of fun as well...Leighton is VERY happy with all his chickens...I had to help him clip a wing on some of them because he wanted to let them in a pen he has up.
Christy, he was carrying that Silkie around everywhere(even in the house) before we left their house.
Judy, his grandma loves the big roo, she thinks he's just beautiful. I knew she would like him.
Meri, Leightons grandma is very happy with the choice of pullets he bought for her. She thought they were pretty.

Today was an all around great day for all of us... It's good to get together, kinda like a family reunion... I think Shelleys dad finally started to enjoy it as well.
