2009 Quilt block of the month - February

When I worked as a waitress, every morning, the other waitresses would check the schedule, see what time I came in, and had my mountain dew waiting for me at the station. Talked about some well trained ladies!!

He was very well trained, prior to kids!! He'd wake me up before he left for work with a big glass of orange juice or soda, whichever was colder. We'd sit around the woodstove, me snuggled into my zippered up sleeping bag and talk . He'd give me a kiss, go out the door, locking it behind. I'd potato sack hop back to the bed, and crash.
Now, the alarm is on his side of the bed. It goes off, pillow goes on his head, I get up, go around the bed, turn it off and go start the coffee pot for him.
Trust me, it's safter this way. I dont appreciate shiny happy people waking me up. But by golly, when your happy smiley face comes out of the bathroom door, ya best have the attitude gone or I come unglued! I dont like grumps in the morning, if yer gonna be grumpy, go back to bed! Cause if I can fake a smile, so can you! lol

Well last night I ironed a bunch of fabric (4 hours of ironing) and today I am cutting my 4 1/2 strips, tomorrow will be cutting the strips into squares and then sew sew sew LOL. Well at least that is the plan.

I will join the ranks of admitting I don't do coffee. Soda first thing for me as well.

I have to agree that coffee taste..........YUCKY!!!!

But I sure do love the smell when it is brewing early in the morning.

As for me, I start my day off with either a cold glass of water or tea, maybe juice when we can afford it

Ya Acres I can't beleive it either, I would rather clean toliets then iron. But I fell on that knee again and couldn't bend it so had to lay or stand, figured hey might as well get that ironing done so stood there with the ice machine going and ironed.

Was glad it was done (don't tell anyone but I only did 1/2 of what I had, just what I needed for my swaps, and some alternates in case I changed my mind about some of the fabrics LOL) so now I can work on my commitments for the swaps.
