I am so new to this I thought she liked log cabins in her fabric!!! Wow, glad you cleared that up, lol!!!! And Skand, that was ME hiding behind the t-shirts!!! I never, ever make a scene, just walk out. Once I got really mad and brave and left all my stuff a counter near the register at Joann's when they were yapping and not waiting on customers...my husband is the one that shows his butt to store clerks...man can he get loud and nasty with them, I feel sorry for them sometimes, especially if they can't count change, I mean you can't help stupid......

I DO,I DO,IDO..lol...
I have a log cabin theme in my living room and coffee theme in my kitchen..I
"forot" briefly there was a log cabin pattern ..I meant theme..But coffee is WONDERFUL, I'll do the cabin theme another month..

I'm sooooo glad someone's below me now..lol..I was awaiting to see who I would send too, being on the bottom and all..

The Walmart in Bullhead City fazed out the fabric,so far the one in Kingman still has their fabric..The closest Joann's to me is now in Lake Havasu and that's an hour away..Closer than Henderson which is about 2 hours away..I wish the big guys would remember us little guys that spend the money in their stores so they can live high..

I've been known to lash out at a clerk for counting EACH and EVERY piec of change my husband had coming back to him..I told her we knew how much was there, just DROP it..

I went to the store with my sister-in-law at the time... She bought something, cost maybe 3bucks... She handed the clerk a hundred dollar bill, no biggie you think. The clerk got all pissy, "dont you have some ones? Brenda said, no, sorry, that's what I have. The clerk counted out her change, in one dollar bills, "There! Now you have some ones." I was actually more afraid of that poor clerk's life, I couldnt say anything if you had paid me to. I was the one that saw the flames shooting outta Brenda's ears and eyes as she was counted out the ones

Ohhh! Now see! I guess the poor people really can't win for losing! I get mad when they just drop the wad of change in your hand, of course, I have been a clerk when the machine didn't figure out change for the clerk. I think that a clerk counting change back from the cost to the amount given is professional and smart.

As far as that clerk giving your sister all ones Skand? I'd have stood right there with the ones out in my hand with my hand outstretched, till a manager was called, and the clerk wouldn't call I'd have started shouting for a manager to please come to register #3 (or whatever). I'd have had that clerk's full name, the store number, the manager's name and the address of the parent company and written it all down, asking for the spelling of the clerk's name be spelled out very slowly and carefully, and double checking it loudly while I wrote it all down.

I do that on the phone with people too, if I have an issue, ask the name and say, "Smith? Is that S-M-I-T-H?" so they know you are writing it down and getting it right... any rude tone quickly gets modified if they know or even think you have their info written down carefully.

I would have gone back into the store = done a few weeks grocery shopping and gone back to the same register with all her $1's... or gone to the bank first to change em for quarters.

First off, some stores employ people whose skills are not necessarily the fastest in the world. Some people need to count the change because they don't trust the machine, or because they have a mental challenge that they need to reassure themselves they are giving the customer the correct change back.

The clerk was in the wrong in regards to the $100.00 bill incident, however, and the store manager should have been notified immediately of the situation, but not at the expense of the customer's inline behind you. You could have gone over to the Customer Service desk and registered your complaint there.

The big WalMarts with the Groceries and General merchandise are called Super Centers. If you have a problem that cannot be resolved at either store or district level then call the 1-800-WalMart Customer Service line and let them know you want to leave a message for the President. Or go to WalMart.Com and use their system to send an email to the President. The store manager's name is on your receipt as well as the store # and phone #.

Also behind the Customer Service desk should be listed the District Manager's name and phone number.

I'm in! I have basic sewing skills and a MIL with a very expensive sewing/embroidery machine.

I would prefer teals and dark browns (think chocolate)

Thanks!

Well after the "change" incident, we got out to the car and were finally able to laugh about it. It was quite funny, really. Esp since the whole reason for buying the $3 item, was we did need change. It was the snot pouring out of her that we didnt appreciate.
I see it as, no harm, no foul. So what if someone isnt there to totally satisfy you, did it really disrupt your day, or did it make you slow down and take a breath? Sometimes, if I feel rushed at any moment of the day, the next 3 hours feels like I'm dragging tail. So it probably is my fault that I'm complaining for someone not being right where I need them to be. Sometimes, yes it is thier fault they arent in thier department, or doing something stupid. Sometimes, they are helping someone else, or restocking the shelves. We dont know, we just have to go past the situation, and deal.
Smile, it could be worse!! lol They could have poop in thier shorts, and want to hug you tight!!!
