2009 Quilt block of the month - February

Very cool Zoo!! You and Pam are definately on the list for beginner blocks!! I thik I have the actaul assembling and sewing down pretty well, my problem is still the cutting to size. One of the engineers at work told me to cut a paper pattern exactly like the instructions say and then lay that cut out pattern on another paper and cut it 1/4" bigger for the actual pattern to use...finally that makes sense to me and I might be able to cut out pieces that will not make a block that is way too small!!!

I washed a pile of new fabric last night and once I got all the knotted up raveling cut off and got it all dried I'm ready to make new blocks, lol!! Once I get Leepsy's done I am finished with my current month' obligation here too, then like Zoo to finish the stack for Amy swap and then back to my true love, yarn!! for the spring swap there...hopefully the list here will be re-shuffled or whatever by then so I'll have 3 new ones to do here.

I would love to have some of that blue fabric. Where on earth did you find it. It is lovely. How much per yard? Can you get me some? How much would shipping be? How fast can you get it? I need some of that beautiful fabric. lol Whew I had to

Acre you're so funny!!! That blue would have looked better on my square to Zoo in place of the red, that's the sort of thing I meant by the learning curve....

I got it off ebay and on the fabric edge it says " Cocorico" style D834 by Hoffman California International Fabric, don't remember how much I paid for it but I am sure it wasn't unreasonable or knowing nothing really about fabric I wouldn't have bought it!! It's pretty, probably alot of places have it..good luck..if you can't find any let me know and I'll half what I have for you, I have a half yard so you would have a fat quarter

I can't buy anything from ebay anymore cause they won't let anyone pay with Money Orders (no I don't want a pay-pal account because I can handle my own money) because they aren't making any money that way and plus, I think some people have been burned.

Not by me though, I have 100% positive feedback for a buyer (I never sold anything). Guess that won't do me any good anymore.

Thanks SE---I'll have to look that up toi see if I can find it
