I was worried after I saw some of the other blocks. But then I remembered it is suppose to be fun not a contest

Oh I am GREEN with envy that I'm not getting some of these blocks!!! They are all VERY VERY beautiful.

I thought about sticking with the same pattern that I was doing for the Spring Swap on the other thread. I dunno - I guess I'll just have to see how the fabric "talks" and I love to applique so

Last night hit -20 or colder with the wind chill. And tonight starting at 7pm it is suppose to hit -30 with the wind chill. I sure understand the cold and I only stay because there are no poison snakes, no poison spiders and no gator's croc's or grizzly's.

Man I need to move to a bubble with all my crafting supplies internet and a phone LOL.

Hey Piecemaker!
I finished my practice block and chose the fabrics for the one I'll actually send you, and I'm going to work on it today and post pics later if I have time. I know you said no dark colors, but I wanted to know what you meant by that. if I were to use two light colors and a floral with a dark background but very bright flowers to accent the others is that too dark for you?

I think this is the pattern that I am going to go with on a lot of them. Here's my sample block ... whad'ya think?? This is the one I am doing for the other swap and maybe I've had enough practice ...

But I think I'll something different for amyquilt since she's already getting a pattern like this from me ....
