2009 Quilt block of the month - February

Luna, Here is a little info on paper piecing. I haven't tried it yet, but Wild's beautiful blocks have inspired me to give it a shot one of these days.

Stitching in the Ditch refers to a quilting method were, when you are taking the top piece, the batting and the backing piece and sewing them together. You basically stitch along the seam lines of where you sewed together the squares, rectangles, circles or whatever shape your blocks are.

For example:

Your quilt block is a nine square block, you would sew the three layers together following the stitches where you joined the 9 squares together.

Clear as mud, right?

That's okay Beth, If I could get my stupid camera to work right I would have taken some pictures to show the process, but at least you provided a link to something that would help.

Chuck

Hey isn't today the day you close on the new Homestead?

Thanks yall, really helpful.
So basically, until after we finish with all the blocks, I dont have to worry bout no ditch, right?
I can play in the mud later.. gotcha!

Well, it was supposed to be this coming Monday, but now it is pushed back to the first week of February because the seller is waiting on $11,000 from their 401K. I am trying very hard to be patient!!!
