It looks like those who have attended previous CSs would like to have the Purple Poultry Exchange again , so it is on !

All adults wanting to participate should bring an inexpensive wrapped poultry related gift. Kids should bring an inexpensive wrapped generic gift (game, etc.)

It is a lot of fun and I hope everyone will participate.

I am in the market for wire cages. I will buy cages that you are not useing at chicken stock. The ideal cages that I am looking for are like the ones for rabbits. About 3'x2'x2' or something close to that. If you have a cage and want to sell it PM me, with a pic if possible.

Okay, well I thought we would be making it to this year's chickenstock, but it turns out that there is a goat show in Hempstead on the same day and we will be driving out there to pick up a new doe from a breeder.

So, the hubby and I won't be able to make it after all.

Yeah, we were definitely looking forward to it, but then I got a chance to buy a really nice Nigi for my herd and the breeder is going to be at Hempstead which is hours closer to my house than her farm.

Plus I really need to be going to some shows to pick up pointers before I start trying to take my own goats in the ring!

Of course it would have to be on the SAME DAY! Grrrr, isn't that always the way things happen?

I'd love to make it, but unfortunately, I can't.
I just joined Friday and didn't have the faintest idea something like this happened!
Maybe next year (is it always about the same time?)
