2009 Texas Chickenstock, 5/23/09 - See My Page for add'l details

I must admit... I'm REALLY excited about this! I'm wracking my brains trying to figure out what to make that I can do ahead of time... due to it being a good 5 1/2 hour drive there.

Allen Wranch, mind if we camp out Friday night due to the driving time???

I'm trying to figure out what to make that I can bring.... I may vote on misc flavoured breads and something else....???? I'm hitting the library tomorrow to wrack the cook books for things that don't require heat or fridge

Before we built our house, we parked a travel trailer on the property. Friends would visit with their motor homes, so some how we ended up with three RV hook-ups. Two are at the front of the property under the trees and the other is at our barn.

If anyone wants to pitch a tent, that is fine also.

I'm talking my mom into letting me go right now!
Muhahaha!

If I go, I'd sleep in a tent over night on Saturday night and drive back home on Sunday.
I'll try bringing a baby chickie or two.
I'll bring loads of food and I'll share if people get hungry.

So, anyone have any pictures from last year?
Anyone know how many people are supposed to show up?
Are you advertising this on Craig's List?
I want to go there and be completely swamped by how many chickens are there. Haha.
I think my DGF is coming too.

Hi...I just wanted to confirm that YES we'll be there. It'll be me, my hubby, my 2 kids, and probably my Dad...5 total. He lives near Austin so I'll drag him along with me, like I did at the Coop Tour

My vote is YES for the Purple Poultry exchange thingy...that could be FUN! My mom brought me back an extremely unique chicken gift from her cruise...now I wish she would have brought 2 so I could use that! But there's no way I'm giving mine up...it's just too funny.

As for food, I'm still trying to think of something to bring that will travel well. I'll let you know as soon as I can.
