2010 Ducks Galore Store List (lol) Get In here!!

I am hoping to have Welsh Harlequin hatching eggs.. I have two ducks and a drake.. Stanley is still figuring things out .. I have to check pictures and compare to see if they are starting to be furtile.. LoL.. they are 30 weeks old monday the 28th.
the girls are little hussies.

I am *hoping* to have gray, white and possibly self-black call duck eggs and hatch them out. I am still looking for self-black call hens or pullets...I think I have found one but am wide open to looking at more.

I will have several breeds. I am not sure if I will do eggs, ducklings, and just adults on some breeds. It just depends on how the breeding season goes. I will have-

Miniature Appleyards (Silver Bantams)
Miniature Overbergs
Australian Spotteds (Greenhead and Bluehead, possibly a few Silverhead)
Mallards (Normal and a couple other mutations I am working on.)
Indian Runners (several colors)

I also have a couple of other breeding projects that I have been working on that I might have a few of. I want to wait and see how the next generation of offspring are first though before I go into more detail.

I will also have Welsh Harlequins. (and my girls are also hussies! LOL)

I will also have runner/welsh harlequin crosses.

My drake is from Holderreads and very good quality. One of the female WH is also from Holderreads. The other 2 are from Metzer.

I am in Colorado. I might sell ducklings (would prefer that since the eggs can be a challenge to hatch). If I know far enough in advance, I can try to make sure enough eggs are set. I don't anticipate having a huge amount of surplus Mini Appleyards this year. I had ordered a dozen new ducklings to add to my breeding stock last year and was only able to get four (2 pairs). That leaves me now with only about a half dozen hens since some of my original birds have pretty much stopped laying regularly now (they are 7-8 years old).

We will have to see how the breeding season goes, but i should be able to sell at least some. If you have never had them before, you will love them! They are far and away my favorite breed. To me, they are one of the prettiest birds on our farm and without a doubt, they are the friendliest we have.
