If our move goes well and on schedule....and the duckies cooperate, I will have Chocoloate Ancona eggs, a black & Lavender ancona egg and Golden Welsh Harlequin eggs.
I will have Muscovy Eggs & Ducklings available in Solid & Pied:
Black/Blue/Silver & Chocolate/Lilac(Fawn Blue)
Probably a few months from now unless they start early, they do currently have a light on them. They have also proven to be excellent cold weather layers.
Also a few EE's & Bantam Cochins (Frizzled & Smooth)
I'll have Pekin hatching eggs available in the spring. Here's a photo of my babies, taken about six months ago.
I'm looking to get some Mallards, Magpies and chocolate or fawn Runners for myself. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get some calls but I'm worried that they are too hard to hatch. Hmm perhaps a broody hen in the chicken yard could help me there LOL
Hey Everyone! I thought I would revive this thread with an update of what I am going to set up for breeding this year and see if anyone else has any updates. I have decided to hold back some breeds the entire season for future breeding stock, but I will have...
Grey Runners
Blue Fawn Runners
Saxony Runners
White Runners (only if I know in advance that someone wants some)
*All the above from show quality stock. I also may set up a few black, blues, and Fawn and White of pet/breeder quality if I know in advance someone might want ducklings, otherwise- I am not going to separate them.
Unless I have a bumper crop year for Australian Spotteds and some of my other birds (Snowy Mallards, Runners, etc...), I will be keeping everything that breeds this year. All others I can sell eggs or ducklings. If anything else, I *might* have some extra Green Head Aussies. I also have been working for a couple of years on true Miniature Silver Appleyards (not Silver Bantams). I may offer some for sale for the first time this year depending on how they look. Right now, the color is pretty consistent and they are about 1/3 the size of regular Silver Appleyards.

I would KILL to have some Golden Harlequins - they're gorgeous! Unfortunately, if I tried to get any more breeds of ducks, certain members of my household might kill me.
...but, you know, I might me able to sneak a few eggs in the incubator with our own monthly hatch, with no one being the wiser...we'll have to talk.
