2012 Sebastopol Gosling Pics

Cottage Rose, what differences are there between the young males and females that you look for? I looked on your website but didn't see an answer. I am new to sebbies and very excited about them

Starting around 3 months old differences can be seen in size when you have them side by side for comparison.
Typically the girls have over all smaller structure as well as shorter necks, more femmy feet and beaks.
Also the girls have a lower pitched voice by the time they are 4 - 5 months old
when they are doing their calm chatty noises. Listen carefully and you can hear the differences.
I can usually tell for sure by the time they are 3 - 5 months old although sometimes they fool you.
One year I had this VERY big and masculine gosling who I just knew was a gander.
He was sold as a gander but the owner informed me the following spring "Moose" laid an egg!
