2012 Sebastopol Gosling Pics

I have seen the Wool Farm, but she doesn't gurantee color which I am really looking for curly solid white and she does not sex her goslings.....

I have found some on craigslist but of course most look terrible like this pair I found in Adams.. I can't tell if this really is just a young pair or what: http://wausau.craigslist.org/grd/3173445523.html.

I had a pair that I had bought 2 years ago they gave me some bronzes at the state fair, but I have been looking for better quality and we sold them this past year.

Thank you... and sorry but the saddlebacks are all spoken for.
You might be better off to order some day olds next spring.
Please see my websites sales page for complete details.

Howdy Wisconsin neighbor!

Looks like it might be a male and a female but it's hard to tell from pics. At any rate I would consider them pet quality and looks like they're going to be rather smooth.

Sorry Poultry09.

Poultry09, I know what you are going through, they are hard to come by in So Cal too, I am really hoping to get a nice white female in the fall.

Cottage Rose, do you vent sex your geese? if so at what age?

Yes I've been vent sexing them at various ages but it seems its easier to see whats going on around 4 - 5 months old.
A neighbor and Ivent sexed some little ones this spring and 4 sexed we sexed as males turned out to be females when we re-vent sexed them recently. I can tell sex better by the time they are 3 months old by their differences in appearance but some can fool you for awhile.

Goslings could be fine -- they go through some really "awkward" stages and that is an odd color. You would know more if you can get pics of the parents. Odd that 2 greys can produce anything other than gray!!

On the other hand, if you want curly whites? GET WHAT YOU WANT!! And whites should be easier to find.

I know some people diss Metzer birds, but I saw some that a friend ordered from them and they are absolutely gorgeous. I was really surprised from field bred birds.

ok-- couple of my potential breeders for 2013 -- sexed them both as BOYS so we will see. White guy is very young 2.5 months and saddleback is 3.5 months. Revamping the whole flock for 2013 AND had the good luck to find a beautiful grey gander to add for next year.

Thanks! I had a pair of white curlies I sold them to get better quality that was 2 years ago, sadly they are hard to come by unless I want to ship live birds. I perfer older since I can see them and the quality with goslings you don't know what will happen. Its not that I only want just white I would go for grey also and get a pair of whites. I am looking around seeing what's available. :) no rush.

She did send pictures of the adults they are all greys some of the females look more white with grey so maybe a bit of splash.... the adults look much much better. The lady is supposed to get back to me since she knows someone with white sebs near her so will see :)
