2013 Chicks Picked Out!

My order is coming in early April and I can't wait either! I ordered them since like early October so that was a forever wait. I ordered 25 chicks from a good breeder I asked for Naked Necks and a few Jersey Giants or black Austrlorps you can't pick how many chicks you want per breed cause he doesn't have all the breeding hens like hatcheries have so it's a big mystery on what I am getting.

Got mine on Monday! First time for us raising chicks 2 Australorps, 3 Speckled Sussex, and 3 Dominiques.
Unfortunately we lost one sussex on Wednesday so the count is now 2-2-3, but all are doing just fine now.

I ordered mine from Murry&McMurry. Changed my mind a little on what I originally thought I wanted. I ordered 5 Rd. Is. Red hens, 5 Black Austrolorp hens and 1 rooster, 5 Columbia Wyondotte hens. They will be here April 15.

Got my chicks yesterday! They are perfect! But with this batch it seems like I am doing more to help them along with there journey! And I'm not new to chickens either! Haha, but I LOVE them!

Chicken math got me only a week or so after I placed my initial order, so I added two more salmon favs......now looking at possibly getting some lavender orps, blrw, and blue wheaton ameracaunas (having a harder time with these, don't want more EEs if I'm paying for and expecting REAL ameracaunas)......not to mention what may lie next season, and maybe trying to bribe the neighbors into letting us have a roo . Thankfully my man is pretty on board, even wanting to turn the back third of the yard into the hens area
