Question for all in attendance here? I have a big pen of 2 year olds, maybe 15 hens, colors are white, bronze, bssp, maybe a midnight,,with two 2 year old males,,my Peach and a White. Monday night I put last weeks eggs into the bator and had 24 eggs from this pen alone. I candled the eggs from this same pen that were put in two weeks prior and all were clears but since that time I have witnessed both males breeding females. Problem is,,my incubator is stuffed full now so i pitched all 24 eggs from last week from this pen, rather than incubate and take a chance maybe only a few were good. From candling this weeks merlot hatch-a-long group due to emerge it seems good hatchrates are now getting started so it will free up space but if I don't have room,is anyone interested in incubating these eggs? I started pen building but it rained everyday for a week here and other chores and gardening now are taking priority over pen building and to be honest I never expect much out ot two year olds anyway so it was no biggy to me if they were seperated off or not. To make it easy,,somone pays shipping, then pays later for any that hatches? Much better than e-bay,,Yes?

Whites from that pen would be a shock! I just got my bronze bs hen last September and I just had 5 bronze and bronze bs eggs shipped to me, so I am working on hatching a male to go with her. At this point I am not familiar with the early coloring in bronze bs chicks, perhaps they don't get those tan wing feathers as early or noticeably as the IB bs. ????

Last year i hatched one egg from this pen and as i remember i noticed his tan wing early maybe because he was a male!
found these on google

Second one looks in my chicks age, maybe i should wait more few days.

I'll pay for shipping and try and hatch them. If we get some fertile birds to hatch I will ship them to the regular members here for shipping costs only.

I'd be interested in some next week if I can find a broody hen.
