Started with six. All six were viable, but one died around day 7.

I guess it is a myth that if you write on eggs with magic markers that it will kill embryos?

Are Cameos yellow when they hatch? If so I might not be so excited about getting what I thought is a white chick.

The eggs were marked by DylansMom with a pencil. On the side of each she wrote the breeding and the date laid. It wasn't until this morning that I marked them with the Sharpie.

Cameos are yellow when they hatch, but at about 2 days old you can see a difference in their wing feathers.

This little guy is 2 days and he could be a bs or a cameo bs, note the tan that can be seen in the wing feathers. If it's a white chick those wings will remain snow white.

I've used a green and black sharpie marker for years to mark each egg that belongs in the same hatch group. Done it for about 5 years now.
