That's sad.

Pretty much all of the gatherings I've been to people do actually talk instead of text though.

I learned to drive in a '73 Monte Carlo. Those seats were more comfortable than any in the house!

Hubby learned to drive in a old MG his uncle owned. My father paid for me to go to driving school.

Being on the dole was something to be ashamed of.

In the 1990s it was easier to get a Class A (high explosives) license than a fishing license in Louisiana.
You had to show up in person with an ID to prove you were a resident to fish but for a dynamite license you mailed in a $20 check with a form.
