2014 Hatchery Chick Orders

Cool! I think the ones with the feathered feet are brahmas. So I put the 4 pullets out this afternoon and started getting ready for the chicks tomorrow. THEN my mom told me that we are possibly getting a foot or more of snow on Monday. So I go on the weather site on my computer and it says it is going to be 5 degrees the next 2 nights... I thought: great, 6 week old pullets trying to survive near zero temperatures. So I brought them in. Long story short, I'm not getting chicks tomorrow.

BUT I am getting my coturnix quail eggs the end of next week (I hope) all 120 of them

I'm getting my first silkies from Cackle this April too! So egg-cited!

Trust me, sometimes I don't even know how I do it. I get on the bus to go to school at 6am and get home at 4pm. I wake up at 5am to take care of the animals, and trust me, I don't have time to rest once I get up (except my hour long bus ride to school). Soon I think I'm going to have to have an apartment complex or skyscraper built for all the animals.

The first faverolle looks like a roo for sure. Looks like your getting your roo! You only have 1 leghorn left? Or do all the chicks look the same? My chicks have about the same amount of feather growth and the possible breeds now are: Cuckoo maran, barred rock, Delaware, indian river, and/or MAYBE rhode island white (I don't think there are any RIWs)

The first faverolle looks like a roo for sure. Looks like your getting your roo! You only have 1 leghorn left? Or do all the chicks look the same?
