2014 Hatchery Chick Orders

they have started to come over to me when i put my hand in. so far the sweetest are the Marans, the polish, blue andalusian and EE from MM. From MPC the Marans, buckeyes and polish. So far, but then i have alot of babies. They all change anyway when they start laying. So far the Anconas are the most standoffish, but are vibrant and most curious.

Let me know if the buttercups are sweet. I'm thinking about getting some next!

Ideal called me nearly 40 mintues ago saying the LF red cochin and barnevelders that i had put my self on waitlist for were available and wanted to know if i wanted them...and i told them yes! so their gonna ship march 26th i believe the lady told me....so excited to some barnevelders...been wanting some for forever but even more so since i've been building a new bigger coop. my family is deffinantly going to shake their heads at me and think i'm more crazy the usual

One of my WCBP and one of the dark Cornish are the most friendly. The Buff Orpingtons are becoming very friendly too.

52 eggs in the Incubator go into lock down on Monday and my Meyer hatchery order comes in next week too.

15 Assorted Brown Egg Layers

Ok, I have a question for everyone. Next year I want to cross my Salmon Faverolle rooster with some of my EE's. Will the chicks have feathered legs and what color eggs would the chicks lay when they get older if my EE's that I have now lay a blue egg?

They will have partially feathered legs and the egg color will depend on what genes the hen carries. Most likely the Fav will contribute the brown egg gene.
