Had a very successful first calving season this spring, a small heifer calf born totally unassisted. Crazy how fast time flies.





 
Mamma as a calf. Funny how adding one bulls genes can better the calf so greatly!

I'm Bristol bishop down here in arkansas I have Brahman cattle and Bradford's and chickens too your type of cattle is shorthorn . ;)

Congrats! I raise Gelbviehs and I had a very young heifer give birth to another calf. The calf's name is Surprise! We didn't need to assist either thankfully! It's always best when you don't need to assist.

This is Granite's Promise and her calf Surprise. Granite's Promise February 19, 2013. Surprise April 5, 2014. I bought Promise when she was 9 months old. Obviously she goes against statistics against cattle even Gelbviehs.

Angus x Simford heifer Calved December 17th. She's got a touch of grey from the Simmental blood but as long as there healthy that's all that matters to me!
