Gave the ducks another swim in the tub. Had GD sit and watch them, while I took care of somethings. Came back to hear her singing to them. A lot more work drying them as they're bigger now. Still need to do the pool set up but have been busy.

This cold weather has not helped at all.

Sent the GS a book to read before I get there. "How to babysit a Grampa". Here's one page. A very nice book.

I just learned that the auditions for NYSSMA solo music festival is going to be Saturday morning MAY 17.

OMG, I can't catch a break on audition times. It was play practice every day M-F, squishing in private drum lessons, working on separate vocal recordings, and of course instrument practice. I love this one, "hey mom, you sight read piano, play this piece for me to sing." when a scroll accidentally printed out after the lyrics.
Yes, I'm going to juggle. DO NOT SELL MY PLUM TREE(S) TO SOMEONE ELSE!

Not any more, but I feel your pain. All 3 of mine did it once in a while....sometimes 2 in one year. Oh the tales my old car could tell (if cars could talk)

I'm happy that you can relate! Wow, mom's taxi service! We had a talk, looks like we may be skipping this one. Not to worry, there are more "talent shows" and singing auditions going on. It's only 1, you had 3, god bless you! SUPER MOM!!!!!!

I'm separating breeders this weekend. I will just have enough time to get some eggs for hatching to bring chicks. So I should have both Black Jersey Giant and Golden Cuckoo Maran hatching eggs and chicks available, but I'm only bringing them if I have them pre-sold. I don't want to be driving 6 hours round trip with chicks in the car (although I've done it before). I'm still hoping for guineas, but they have yet to show any signs of laying. I do have Lady Amherst/Red Golden cross pheasants who are laying. I have a red gold female and a lady amherst female in with a red gold male. I'm pretty sure it's only the Lady Amherst laying as she's the one always sitting on the egg when I go to retrieve it. So if anyone wants some of those eggs, I have those as well.
