2014 New York Chickenstock

Just got home today from TX. Had a nice time.

DW didn't tell me that she'd be having tests and a biopsy. We see the surgeon tomorrow. She has breast cancer. Not sure how bad. Thought I'd posted it here but perhaps not.

Anyhow not sure we'll be coming. Will keep you posted.

She's going to FL at the end of the month and we won't be doing any surgery till May.

I'm still stunned ,

In other news Ducks are huge and I'm not sure I'll be keeping them. Might be to much work under the circumstances. Chicks need to be moved out of the brooders too. Any idea what I might be able to get for the Ducks?

positive thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

Baunlee should keep the link in her posts ...Like put it in her signature ...so every time she posts the link is there for people to access
No problem gramma chick. I figured out how to make a signature on the website since it's my first time using this feature.
As long as it's helpful to someone that's good.

I will keep you and your wife in my thoughts:hugs

How old are the ducks again? That will give us a better idea of what to suggest

I don't know about Silkies yet. Possibly eggs.

No hurry, let me know if you do :)

They are not yet laying. Got them in Feb or was it March. I can't give you pics since I need to clean the pool they are in. No one here was expected to clean them while I was away so I'm not upset. Amazing how much things can change in two weeks. Oh, they're Blue Swedish.

Anyone know what age ducks begine to lay and how to tell these guys/gals apart. I expected them to be smaller. Not quite Call size but not Goose size either. Though I expect Geeses are bigger still.

This thing with DW has got me freaking out. She on the other hand is like a Duck. Calm on top, but paddling like heck underneath.

Our ducks hatched out on February 24th give or take a day. So they are 7 weeks now.

To tell them apart, I'm sure that the boys should have the tell tale curly tail feather.
