Morning!
My 5 duckling eggs are doing great in my Brinsea, kinda wish I filled all 7 spots now. I'll have some ducklings for the picnic. They will more than likely be mixed Runner/Khaki Campbell. I'll be able to tell for sure once they hatch in 16 days.

Mine have also outgrown the brooder, was going to hold off on transfer to the Eglu set up in the barn, but after taking one look at the brooder this morning, they are being evicted. Dumped food and water splashed everywhere, shavings and newspaper shredded into the water dish. Will have Hubby climb up in the rafters to tie a heat lamp since it is still cool and damp. Then out they go tonight. Of course walking past that stinky box, it may be sooner...

I moved my young ones to a hoop coop with a light. I mix the crumbles with water to make a mush so they don't waste it. They still have a hanging waterer but get water with the mush too.

I hope I can keep numbers down so I'll have a designated hoop just for growing out.

Yep, kicked them out this morning! I was able to reach one rafter from the horse stall gate, toss a lead rope over another rafter. So heat lamp is hooked in 2 places over the front of the Eglu to take the chill off. Now they got plenty of room to run and play without trashing the food and water.
Hubby is now interested in learning to butcher chickens, he's had enough of the obnoxious little white EE roo. If we can catch him, we will bring him for the hands on demo.

The Fingerlakes Feather Club is hosting a Swap Meet for poultry & Waterfowl at the Tractor Supply Co. (TSC) on Rt. 5 in Auburn, NY on Saturday April 21, from 9am to 1pm. Admission for the public is free.

Come one Come all! All are welcome to attend.

There will be a Chinese auction and potluck meal. Donations are welcome. I will keep a list of what is volunteered.
You are more than welcome to bring birds, eggs, or other things to sell. If bringing live animals please have them caged with food/water dishes. I have water on site to fill dishes. If you are buying or getting live animals please bring your own cage/box with water dish to bring them home. Please bring your own chair being we only have so many of our own.

This is a rain or shine event. We will have tents set up and have a large garage to use if need be. If you have your own pop up tent please bring it if you can.

The first pic shows 2 gemstones & the rest of the bracelet silver chain, if you scroll down, there is a pic of another one with a solid copper & sterling band. Price depends on the bracelet
material.
This is a pic of the eggs in nest. The silver is a little tarnished,but you can see how it is.Can be made in a pendant or earrings. I can also use blue pearls or copper pearls.
