2014 Stockton CA pre-sale

Juststruttin leghorns lay better then your average MF leghorn. So if you are toying with the idea now is the time.
I have found the MFL to be excellent layers. However, the size of the egg is rather disappointing. The egg is medium sized at best, and you can get an occasional cream colored egg. All my girls hatched from white egg since I culled for white, but I still get an occasional cream egg, especially in the beginning of their laying cycle.

That's disappointing news. His booth was going to be my first stop this year. I have eggs hatching today and tomorrow so thought that I would add a few purchased chicks to the group.

I know, but since he doesnt have a website, he is mailing me a flyer so I can mail order. Beautiful birds from those chicks!

These sweet Silkie boys will be five months old at show time and we were told show quality when we got them as chicks. I don't know about show quality vs pet quality but I do know they are beautiful to me. They have the correct number of toes, skin and lobe coloring. We will also have at least one if not two frizzle cochin roos hatched on 10/24. I would like to sell or will consider a trade for girls and the only reason we are parting with them is we can't have roosters where we live and I can only home a couple boys for breeding elsewhere. We can bring the to the show if pre-sold.

I'm bumping this in case anyone is interested in these youngsters. I can bring them to the show tomorrow and get messages pretty quick.
