Idk she looks like one kind of. Honestly we thought she was a bobcat hybrid for a while as she was huge even when I got her and had perfect replica markings. Now idk her mother was one of DH2B's father's semi-feral cats. Aka barn cats. And I've never seen any Bengals around here. I mean it's farm country a cat is a thing that lives outside and kills mice to most people around here. To be honest many farmers around here use 22 rifles to keep the cat numbers down so they don't become the pest. Which I think is sick.

Ok tabbys have spots too. Especially on the belly. And Maine Coons are the largest domesticated breed of cat in the world. Yes I live in farm country too. And yes same here. And actually I believe the same thing for actual predators.(as far as protecting my animals from real threats) Not cats. It is sick. It's the easy way out. That's why I've taken the time to get 5 feral cats to trust me. So that I could catch each one and hopefully give them a life. Being a wild cat,to me,is no life. It's sad. And it's not their fault. That some irresponsible person either lets their un fixed cat roam or has abandoned their unfixed cat. Well fixed or not,abandonment is cruel. Wanna start a cat thread???

Ha-ha I wish Bella was food motivated that would be easy. My Molly is, Bella is nothing motivated. No joke she's getting better like I said but it used to be most of the time she wouldn't even care about pleasing. Like what dog doesn't want to please? I mean seriously! Come on. Like you can't tempt her with treats not even a toy BC she doesn't know how to fetch loves toys but she'd just grab it and run. And you can't catch her if she doesn't want to be caught as she runs like a gazelle. And our house butts up to a field(also ours) that's over like 300 acres idr for sure but its huge. It's impossible. I love her to death but she tries my patience. Don't get me wrong it's not just her fault maybe not even most of it. She's DH2B's first dog so first one he's raised and trained. He grew up with danes and loves them but he didn't set firm boundaries for her. And bc he's a farmer during the spring and fall he can be gone up to 18 hours a day. Then to make it worse she got hit by a car and had to be confined to a space just big enoughfor her to stand turn around and lay down for three months while the plate in her leg healed. All while still technically a pup. Consumed with guilt BC he couldn't spend time with her like he wanted(he was under strict orders from the vet and surgeon) as it caused her to be excited and try to move jump and run. So he would let her out and care for her and give her a bit of loving. Even with toys and bones etc she became destructive though some came to let her out during the day. As she got better I think he overcompensated BC of the lingering feelings of guilt and she had no boundaries. In truth he was in over his head but him and I are trying even though he still feels guilty we're trying we won't give up on her. Three couches and two chairs and countless dog beds later the destructive behavior has all but ceased. Thank you God for that. She now knows lay down and stay sit shake and leave it as well as be nice and no bite as well as how to give hugs. I know its going to be a long road but DH2B now knows more about training and how to do it. And I have faith Bella will make it there she'll always have selective hearing and be goofy, that's the breed apparently. But for now she's all healed she loves all her new siblings and her and Molly run like the wind chasing each other around the yard. Sorry for the long winded story.

Would love to start a cat thread. Well I'm with you about the ferals all five of ours were ferals if you count Luna. Yes I love Maine Coons they are naturally occurring in the US. Did you know that? Two of ours our Maine Coons our twins as we call them brother and sister from the same feral litter. I'm aware that tabbies can have spots especially on their bellies but her spots are almost unreal. I've never seen a tabby with spots like hers and I've seen lots of ferals that had a mix of spots and stripes. (I think it's better wild camaflouge.) She's just unusual hence the name Luna as in Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter.

Ok so finally!!! Here are some pics of the mama frog and my girls. The frog is about the size of my iPad mini! Lol it's plushy on the belly side. Which is the side they get under. I just lay it down a tad bit propped and they nestle on in. I also put a dish rag kinda hanging above it for a little extra coziness. I actually had an idea too....take a baseball cap,with the open hole for adjusting facing front. Lightly stuff it with straw or something soft. And safe!!! Then they can walk on in and nestle in there. Just an idea. Some hats don't have the hole,cut one. Or it's too small,cut to enlarge. Lemme know how it goes!!!

PS....please disregard the poop! These two are lil dookey machines! There's a little cup with chick starter and a lid with fresh wa wa. They,of course,try to kick the food out to scratch! As all chickens do! About evening time...I cover the carrier with a light blankey. To get them use to dawn and dusk. They'll naturally wake at dawn and snooze at dusk. Eventually they'll roost. That's the next phase...intermingling with the others and roosting. Hope this helps! Thank you so much for your patience.

[Hatching Addict]

21 to hatch out of the 24 eggs that went into lockdown. The 3 that didn't hatch, one was an early quitter...and the other two were porous and didn't develop completely.
5 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte
16 Olive Eggers ( first generation)

Now to start saving eggs for next month.
