2015 breeding season

Since Snow White's first clutch I haven't gotten more eggs. I don't think my other peahens have been breeding yet.

Will hens starting eating more before laying because my feed pan for Colbolt and Sage I would only have to fill up almost every week but now it's emptying almost every 3 days? Colbolt, Genie, and not sure why but Thora has also been fanning. I wish I could get a photo of all three fanning at the same time but Genie is up against the fence so you can only see the tips of his train.

Do you pull your feed every night and put it back in the morning because that is a huge increase, just sayen you could have rodents helping them empty them. I know my birds free range but none of them eat as much in the spring as the winter cause they don't need as much to keep them warm.

Could well be "helpers", but mine have noticeably increased their appetite as well.

No it's in the same spot day and night. Wouldn't be surprised if there were rodents.

You should see if you can borrow a game camera and set it up on the feed bowl. I bet you would find night time visitors coming to the feed bowl.

That is what i did to find out what was lurking in the chick brooder, works very well and just go buy one to keep spying on nature is fun weather they are causing problems or not.

My sister borrowed mine to spy on her cats feed bowls after finding 'funny' paw prints around the water bowl. She has a cat door on her garage door and found that opossums and coons were coming in and eating with the cats like one big happy family.
