Your 2026 Garden

Thats what I figured and what i get for not labeling lol
That actually sounds like something I did a couple of summers ago. I had to wait until they were half-grown and I could smell a few to detect. I had planted 6. I recall lavender (yeah, another try that died), chocolate mint, onion chives, and I forget the rest.

Yeah veg I'm usually pretty good at identifying from pretty small but all the different herbs and flowers I'm not great at till they've grown to their identifiable traits haha usually I direct sow everything so I dont have to worry about remembering cause once the seed is in dirt its where i planned it to go and dont have to remember what it is 😂😂 but trying for a little earlier of the start of harvest season this year given how early we got our first hard frost this past fall if this frigid winter is anything to go by what to expect moving forward haha

I know I know I didn't learn from any of my previous years in the last 20 years of gardening 😂😂 but I didn't label my seedlings I said I will definitely remember what I plant where 🙄🙄 haha and have no idea what this is, I think it's chamomile? It's definitely some kind of herb because that's all that's in this tray... any guesses?

If you'd've said flowers, I'd say cosmos but since you're sure it's an herb chamomile is a good guess. What are the other possible candidates?

Rhubarb is up. That took a whole 10 days. At least I know the tuber isn't a dud.

There's also a row of peppermint and a row of mountain mint which I know it's not either of those and then I cannot remember what I planted in the fourth row 😂😂 other than that it was an herb cause thats all I put in that tray so I'm thinking it has to be the chamomile haha

it looks like chamomile to me! you should be able to smell it if you rub the leaves?

I’m planning to turn my vegetable garden into a mostly herb garden this year. I’m tired of growing tomatoes and peppers and beans! I’ll still plant some cucumber seeds though, for pickles. And of course kale & lettuce for the birds. And lots of dandelions!
