What's interesting is that this is the hen I took to the vet last June because she was eggbound. I tried everything to get her to pass the egg, but she never did, so I expected her to die by now. I guess it's possible that she laid it and I didn't see it? definitely a hen to keep an eye on.

I found a hidden nest today with 3 eggs. I wish I could incubate them.

I don't know what to do with any eggs that I get while I am incubating the 7 I have currently in the incubator (I only have 1 incubator). Should I sell them?

Ah okay. My vet says that the soft ones are harder for them to expel.

I think it's because the membrane can be indented just as you can see in the photo so when the muscles try to push it the egg membrane just indents to the muscle making it harder to pass the egg.
