I wrote "Cruise the (sales) room several times" but just to clarify, what I mean is that if you don't see what you are looking for, come back in a bit and you might find some different birds. However, if you see a bird that you want, you shouldn't wait; in an hour it may well be gone.

LaylaFlora, it's definitely worth your drive if you haven't been. Just seeing all the birds in person is a great experience. We've done it as a day trip a couple of times, and we're four hours away.

There is a whole room with youth events also - a judging contest, the Avian Bowl quiz, and a Standard of Perfection open book quiz.

You can coop in Saturday before 8:30. The building will probably open at 7am or earlier.

It's all in what you're used to, I guess. I don't think anyone will bother you on the showgrounds at Modesto Jr. College.

There's a link to the full program at the beginning of the thread. Buildings open at 7am Saturday and close at 5:30 pm.
