Anyone has found the ideal weight loss for peafowl eggs yet? Is it 13-16% or something else? I'm aiming for 13% loss until lockdown is that right?

Mine do better at 15%. Those that lose only 13% don't hatch as easily.

I don't remember, I just remember the ones that lost 15% by the day they pipped hatched much better on their own. Do your eggs usually hatch on day 26, 27, 28, or 29?

Usually 27 sometimes 26, only greens take longer.

I have just started incubating peafowl. Have gotten 5 eggs from my birds, fourth egg is fertile and developing but has only been one week incubating. Set a second egg today so have to wait 4 days to see if it’s developing.
I shoot for 14% weight loss for the whole incubation period, after a week, one egg is already 1.13g below the desired weight. I live at 8,600ft ASL so I must keep humidity at around 65-70% all the time.
