    Hey albertadkins82 Welcome to BYC!

That is a very impressive pumpkin .. love it!

We do not technically celebrate Halloween here in Aus but the shopping centres seem to have latched onto it as an extra way to make money between Easter and Christmas .. yes, they have Mothers’ and Fathers’ day in between but they were obviously not enough [IMG]

Anyways, the first year we lived in this house, some neighbourhood children appeared at the door trick or treating .. they looked so cute and I felt so bad that I did not have anything for them.

I was prepared the next year and reminded hubby to pick up some treats on his way home because it was Halloween to which he said “If I had known you were going to do that, I could have carved a pumpkin” [Hubby is American].

So, this year, not only will we have treats, we will have the carved pumpkin also. I have shown him your picture and he replied “Yeah, I am not going to be able to do that!” lol

I will share a picture when it is done .. granted, it will not be as impressive as yours but it will probably be one of only a few hand carved pumpkins in Aus [IMG]

Love the pics. I got a pumpkin the other day and gave it to the chickens. I have never carved one. Maybe next year.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention … we did throw the pumpkin guts to the fussy, spoiled, bantam gals who, as expected, gave us the “You really expect us to eat that?!” look and at the end of the day the pumpkin guts got fed to the compost bin [IMG]
