2016 Gosling Hatch-a-long

It was pouring rain today and I just had to take pictures

The yards a mess because it's winter as y'all know yourselves so here's an update from me with pics!

Here's my greylag crosses they will be sold this spring.

My Buff African pair along with a 9 month old gander and 3 year old goose (all but the year old Brown African gander will be in my breeding pen for this year).

9 month old African gander with my breeding African goose.

Sloppy Joe will have his first time in the breeding pen this year

Sloppy Joes father

Sloppy Joes brother (Brown African gander X Buff African goose) he's supposed to have the buff gene.

Brothers (these guys were born and raised together and are inseparable and act as if they are a couple :,) )

Sloppy Joe suffering from wet feather

This African is kind of still alpha but the Buff African gander chases him off but he sometimes chases the Buff gander so we'll have to wait till breeding season is official

He's with his wife a Embden and a SebastopolXchinese gander who wants the Embden........

Another nearly year old African gander who won't be breeding this year as he is too young.

Sloppy Joe wouldn't leave me alone because he wanted to be in every single picture :,)

Nine month old African goose who also won't be breeding this year but I will allow here brood for experience so she knows whats she's doing in her second year of breeding (she will be with 5 bachelor African ganders and after few young African females).

Chinesexgreylag gander and a EmbdenXToulouse female which will be sold in spring.

Romantuft female and EmbdenXToulouse male will also be sold this spring.

All my less than a year old African geese except for Sloppy Joe who keeps photo bombing

Sloppy Joe is a character. Reminds me of my Embden gander Squishy

@servpolice
your flock is beautiful. I love Sloppy Joe photobombing he is a ham like my Sam.

Thank you Miss L
Tired to get pics of the other Africans but they just weren't cooperating with me

Remember when he was a gosling
Time flew especially since I'm going to use him for breeding this year
We'll hopefully get Sloppy Joe juniors this year :D

My geese are breeding but looks like so far only Sam my oldest breeding both females. and Babe[gander] still sticking tight to Sam. So I am happy so far.

Breeding just started last week.

Keep a close eye on both.
If everything goes well this breeding season then it will most likely be same for every other breeding season

But toulouse ganders can be mean feckers towards other ganders so that's why you've to keep an close eye ;)
