We already have some "socialist" things- roads, public works, public schools, Armed Forces, Medicare. We pay in with our taxes to support these things.

Are you sure you're not confusing socialism with Communism? The way I understand it, socialism means that everyone pays into a government system, which in turn uses those funds to provide basic support evenly throughout the populous (at least in theory). That's an economic system, not a political one. IOW, Like the socialized medical system in the Scandinavian countries.

The last I heard, no one is losing any of their rights or freedoms in Denmark!

From what I have gleaned, in Denmark they made free-college, but the tax rates are what, 60%? There's nothing wrong with socialism. I don't support it--I think it discourages hard-working individuals. People say that the "next step" is communism. Well, what they mean is that the government highly takes control of peoples' money, taxes, and wealth. This gives more power to the government, which could lead to an overly powerful, destructive government. I'm not trying to argue or anything, I just wanted to put in my "two cents" (pun not-intended)

Hello! I thought I'd start a thread to discuss who we are voting for in the election. I would love to know what other chicken-farmers are thinking about it. However, there should be ABSOLUTELY NO POLITICAL ARGUMENTS.



So, are you for Trump? Clinton? Johnson?

Who do you want to be your next Governor? 

Etc.

Subscribing because I'm rather curious to see the political demographics of the poultry community. I'm inclined to predict it'll be conservative-leaning - chickens keepers tend to be country people which tend to be more conservative than not.
