2018 Hatchalong

I finally have a pair of eggs in lockdown getting ready to externally pip.

Thanks. Both have externally pipped now and look textbook in hatching. Should have two healthy babies out by tomorrow morning.

First baby is out. The other baby has made a nice hole in shell, but has not begun zipping, so expect it will be a few more hours for her. Both are buff dewlaps.

OH my gosh. So exciting. They sure took their time about it. Can not wait for pictures

They sure can take their time. Dewlaps are especially tricky to gauge, because they often accidentally crack shell during internal pip. The baby I'm still waiting for must have done that, since it cracked its shell 3 hours before the one that is already out.

Goodness, it's a wonder any of them hatch. Let's hope #2 is out soon

#2 is out. Letting them rest/dry in bator, then will take pics.
