Thought I would post these cool photos I took of my roses.

We culled Jackie last night, she dressed out at 3lbs 6oz. Winter is on its way here, I didn’t want her to freeze to death being alone.

This morning we awoke to a huge commotion in the brooder! Two of our chicks are not getting along, blood had been drawn and separation became a necessity. We seperated the Olive Egger cockerel, we got him a few mirrors and a stuffed toy to keep him company. We’re creating a MHP for him right now. DH is obsessed with him. Go figure he’d fall in love with our Roos!

That’s kind of concerning that one or more of them is so aggressive at such a young age.
I hope things work out with them.
Jackie weighs about the same that Loki did when we did him.

It was really concerning to me too. We have a plan for the lone roo later on down the line. Jackie was 8 months old so not quite full grown.

so I got rid of four cockerels about two weeks ago, and came home with five cochins last night- my husband found out this morning.

His first words are "Why do you need so many chickens?"

@Anna Ranieri yes your BO is DEFINITELY a pullet. Here is our BO cockerel Dwight at 6-7 weeks. You can also see our RIR cockerel behind him with another very large red comb.

@Cbarr00 oooh thanks for sharing the pic of your BO cockerel! My girls are coming up on 5 weeks and are definitely looking like pullets.
