Oh man yall I went out to feed the chickens and noticed our white easter egger has a pretty large red comb compared to the others. I'm hoping we dont have another cockerel on our hands. Anyone have pictures of their easter Eggers at around 7/8 weeks? It's already dusk here so I'll see if I can snap a few good pics real quick.

Ok here's two just showing how red this comb is and how it protrudes so much! I'll try and get better tomorrow.

Oh dear, doesn't sound good but hoping the best for you :fl

Another successful day and even better than yesterday :celebrateno feather picking at all AND no pecking at all either! :celebrate Pedro gave chase only once this morning but Lilah intervened and since then Pedro has left Roo alone and even put no mind to Roo foraging beside her :yesss: I gave them a little treat this afternoon - half a banana shared between the 8 of them, and I will be giving them their bed time snack as usual but less than half a tablespoon each. They all are eating really well now and Pedro no longer turns her nose up at her feed - the flocks are doing well and peace has been restored.
On my part, very much a lesson learned and I will not be taking my eye off the ball ever again!
