Wally got his butt kicked re-entering the flock. All went really well until he improperly mounted one of the top hens. He lost a few feathers but has found his own place amongst the flock. He has three ladies that love him dearly. & for now he’s taking amazing care of them. No feather picking after his separation too!

This is him with Jacaranda, his most favorite Hen.

My big girls are grass fiends, once a day I scatter a bit throughout the run to encourage their natural scratching behavior.

Oooooookay so the sound I was hearing actually was crowing. And it's Anna. XD

I want certain because he only does it early in the morning when I'm still half asleep. By the time they all come out of their coop there is no more crowing for the day xD

But today I snuck out there and sure enough it was coming from the coop, and as they all came out Anna stopped in the doorway and crowed right in front of me.
She is very large and I was thinking her tail was long the other day :p

Now I'm worried about kida again too because she is also very big!!

So anyway if anyone in the SE Wisconsin area needs a rooster... SO far he's friendly. I can't keep him in the city.

I got the same with mine--crows in the morning and then nothing.my problem will be the one across the way doesn't stip and I'm afraid mine will pick up bad habits.honestly my duck is louder then the rooster.

Hi everyone! We've got our first chicks this year, now they are about a month and a half old! Some have no chickie fluff left, and our two newest have nothing but fluff, haha! Seems a lot of people like Silkies, my sister has two, she says she adores them because they will be walking pompoms!

Welcome! What breeds do you have. Feel free to post pictures I love gawking at chicks

@PNW_Peepers Yes that's exactly what he does. It seems as soon as a little light gets in the coop, he crows for a while until everyone goes outside then stops for the day.

Anna is one of the EEs. The great thing about naming chickens after Disney princesses is that they all have a male counterpart, so he is now Kristoff. xD

Gonna officially start trying to rehome him so I went to take a picture. Can definitely see gold poking through the black head now, and his tail is definitely showing some curve. This is what happens when I go away for the weekend. xD

@BBZZZZTT Oh my gosh so cute, if you can’t hide him I’d go to your local farm&feed stores and start asking around or posting ads for him! My local feed store has a board dedicated to the unwanted male livestock :lau. What a great idea with those Disney princess names! Do you plan on getting any more chicks since at least one will be removed from the picture?
