Yes,she's a faverolle I count 5 toes on her. You got a kind of chicken you didn't know you had. They can look really different, light buff like mine or more mahogany like yours. The darker ones are usually from hatcheries and tend to have black in the plumage. My new girl should look alot like your girl. They are very,very sweet chickens.:)

So she is a faverolle? I'm pretty sure she has 4 toes versus 5 thst faverolle a have. Woukd that be an indicator? Now I have to go home and count toes. She is a very sweet girl.

@llombardo, This is how different the salmon faverolle can present. First picture isn't mine because I don't have a dark girl yet well I probably do but she's still a yellow fuzzy. The second pic is Tucks no beard, no muffs but she is the sister of the bird in the last pic Lulu. Favs can be all over the place in every aspect exept toes, and your girl has 5 toes 3 big in front 1 little thumb toe and 1 big long toe in the back. :)

No,she's not a mahogany she's just a mahogany shade. What she is though is a hatchery quality salmon. If she were a mahogany she wouldn't have a white belly or really much white at all. So you have a cute little salmon faverolle with non show quality plumage "not that it matters at all about show quality". The black in her beard which may go white with age would keep her from being show. The personality is the real draw with these girls anyway.:)

I once again stopped receiving updates to this thread!:barnieI've been getting on every other day almost shocked not to get notifications and then I see the thread pop up in raising baby chicks and think what the heck! Then as I'm typing this message I get a notification that someone replied to the thread. Ugh.

Happens to me too. :rolleyes: It’s annoying but I just do a thread search if I haven’t gotten notifications for a while.
 
I’m SO excited guys!
I went on Meyer Hatchery’s website just to look around and noticed that they had 1 female Silver Penciled Rock chick still available for their July 16 hatch.
This is a breed where they only let you order one at a time.
So I sent an email asking them if I could add that chick to my July 16 order.
They responded very quickly and added it and said all I needed to do was give them permission to debit my card.
I said absolutely lol! :D

So I have 7 chicks coming on July 16 and now I’ll have 2 SPR instead of 1! :ya
They’ll just be a week apart in age.
I plan to integrate both chick orders with each other as soon as I can.
I need to do a little research on BYC to see how I should go about it.
I wonder if it’s even necessary if they’re only a week apart? :confused:
