He might look wise as he is molting his fethers

He's only 3 years old. All my geese I have now are from my gosling batch 3 years ago. I have one brown African gander that is 8 years old.

All good here. My geese are not youngins any longer my Gander Sam is 12 yrs and my female is 7. She doesn’t lay eggs any longer. So I guess you’d say they have retired but still go through breeding season with gusto. lol. Added Runners to my duck flock and still have 22 chickens. Very sorry to hear about your turkeys and chickens

She doesn't lay anymore? 7:is a young age for a goose to stop laying. At least you still have your geese! Sam is getting to being a good age!

They are so cool looking Congrats!! Serv this is actually Missy’s 3rd season not to lay. First year I was very worried something serious was wrong with her but she is very healthy just doesn't lay.
