2019 Peafowl

Pics
Thanks guys/gals. I hope they are okay as the weather is absolutely horrendous.
It was never the plan to have them, they were just here when we moved. So they are, I guess semi-feral.
Moving to a rural area has opened my eyes to how each animal has character and that they also show a playful side from the Deer to Peafowl.
Anyway I should get some sleep as it's 2:30am now.
Next post I hope to have some great images. :)

My four from the hatchery I got Friday. Looks like India Blue and White?
And 3 of the six my penhen hatched today.

And a question...why do my babies hatched today look like they have tan/pink/peach feathers? The peachicks hatched today are huge and have thick pink legs.

Just a little update. She abandoned the last egg on Wednesday, I opened it and sadly the chick was already dead. I'd love to know how she knows it's dead and to leave it, is it a heat sense? Anyway, the others that were born Monday/Tuesday went in the tree Friday.
They're all doing well, just went down to feed her and she's starting to bring them closer to the house. The little yellow one was on her back when I went down but had no camera with me. It's stopped raining now so I'll do my best to remember to take my camera down.
Also the Peahen that I didn't know where she was nesting came for some food this morning. I then followed her up the drive and she's nesting about 3ft of the road. Thank fully it's not a busy road at all, maybe 10 cars a day pass. Would any one suggest moving her or is it best to leave her alone. Thanks

Here is a picture from this morning. This was after their first night in the meadow. They are around 8/9 days old now. :) The next ones should be coming soon.

My first Montana hatched last week. Pictured are two Montana, I also hatched one in BS and IB Pied split Montana not pictured. An interesting note is that the Montana chicks have two bands of iridescent silvery blue on the feather tips on the wings. Unfortunately, it does not show in my pics. I will get better pics for @new 2 pfowl
