2019 Peafowl

I was feeding the chicks today and when I went down to the meadow one of the other Peahens has appeared with three chicks, I shall get a picture tomorrow. Now it's just one more peahen that's yet to appear. They should be hatched by now so hopefully she appears in the coming days. Last year we only had one Peachick to now, looking at around nine.

The calendar says summer but here at Spring Creek Peafowl, it is looking like Spring. Check out Sugar riding her/his trusty steed.

He/she loves to ride around on our shoulders although it is a bit annoying when it climbs up on the top of our heads. So taking to the dog for a ride was almost natural and Sven is so good with our animals and absolutely loves our cats.

Sven reminds me of a dog that @zazouse owned, she posted pics of him nose to nose with peachicks and was very cute.

A little later than intended. But here is the shocking picture I took of the three new chicks. She still isn't to happy with me near her, the chicks on the other hand are already running to me once they see me. The second picture is the first ones, now at about 26 days old.
