2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

Why would the state take your house?
They are running a toll road through my property. It will take my old house and the duck barn and their yard. And I will have to pay toll to leave or get to my house among other tortures planned. I could go on for hours but basically, I don't want to build anything permanent that the state will just destroy and not pay me for. I thought maybe the electric netting would let me have ducks.

And you will live with all the traffic at your house? Come over to WV, here they're done with new roads.

That would be nice but my property backs onto live water. I would have to kayak in and out. We just have to wait and see what happens. There is also garbage pick up, mail delivery and other tortures to be figured out. The little necessities of life are difficult to get it you live on a toll road. The entire road is only about 5 miles long and I am the only one along the route that is being displaced. So they really haven't spent time to deal with me other then to schedule me for an exit of sorts for access. I am sure this will be an interesting experience.

:lau
A neighbor told me about the neon transformers, he said a (wild) dog peed at his fence and was knocked out for 10 minutes. Then ran away never to be seen again.
But I am such a klutz, I would shock myself with it. It's worth considering. I will sit out with the AR when I get home but have never been successful in the past. Closest I came to getting a predator was almost catching a bobcat with bare hands. Did I mention lack of jugement?
