2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

Cannot get over how much they have grown. Looks like they are enjoying all that room and freedom . So funny how the adults are with them have they met face to face yet?

Yes, they have! Remember i had them on the patio one afternoon and the little duck-house is overseeing the duck-playground. Nona and Limpy are fine with the little ones, Nona seems to be a little afraid, but Curiosity and Katharina are true bitches! They bite and try to jump on them, not realizing (yet) that this behavior could prove very unwise in the future, it is 14:2 … The four white layers already came to the rescue of one Buff Orpington and they are almost the same size as the grown-ups! If they figure out that they can bite back, Katharina and Curiosity won't stand a chance.
I'm watching Duck-TV this evening, ready to rush out with a bucket of cold water if something serious erupts.

Good GRIEF! - Limpy has just beaten the cr@p out of Katharina!
She was annoying him for several days, now his patience has run out! She was attacking the Magpies when Limpy grabbed her and beat her up with his wings, feathers are flying everywhere now!

Yes he is mellow and patient, but when he snaps, he snaps! And since Donald's disappearance his confidence has grown.

So far yes. There is a lot of fighting going on: Limpy can't stand Katharina, Curiosity bite Limpy, they both charge after the new ones, the White Layers gang up in defense and Nona is standing in a corner and doesn't understand what's happening. Poor Girl!
