Yes they have! And they have started to quack and grow their flight feathers too! There must be something special with the White Layers, they grow faster than weed! Kudzu Ducks!
They are my wife's favorites! She thinks they are more active,curious and intelligent than the other's. - I like the Magpies best, their unique patterns and their calmness.

I long for some of the slightly stinky cheese you get to put on the bread. I can't remember the name. Soft, off white and served in a little pot. I always got it while deciding what was for dinner. I have never seen it in the US.Piggly Wiggly is nice! They have good prices and during the summer months they sell local fruits and vegetables, which i appreciate very much.
With the bread, my colleagues often ask me »What is typically German Food« and all i come back with is the bread. There is really some culture about bread in Germany, we have countless different types of bread and very few people buy it in supermarkets (Aldi!) because the quality there is so poor.
The typical stereotypes of "German" food, the "Bratwurst" with "Sauerkraut" are not typical German. Sausage recipes have been invented all over Europe (Polish Kielbasa and Romanian Carnati, for example) and Sauerkraut is popular almost everywhere. And also beer isn't special for Germany, think about Budweiser from the Czech republic…
But the bread is really unique in Germany! If you ever travel to Germany try a »Brötchen mit Schinken« (Bread-roll with ham)! - Now i'm hungry…
As said, that statistic may be entirely correct for wild or domesticated Mallards! But definitely not for our domesticated breeds. @WVduckchick: How fast grow Call Ducklings?
Might have been »Limburger Käse« (Limburg Cheese) - i had a colleague in Germany who was always eating a sandwich with that cheese when he was traveling by train. It smelled so bad that he had the compartment for himself most of the time.
