I remember but Mini was an only duck too. Makes a difference. Have you thought of just putting up a temp fencing around your premier 1 adding heat to it then you can take it down when you need to and it wouldn't be close for the birds to get into.

I can imagine how your feeling so helpless I hope you can figure out something so you don't have to go through awful loss again. We have the predators too but rarely see any during the day maybe it's our yappy dogs.

she's half red heeler. So LGD heritage. She does patrol them when she is up there. They are about 200 yards from the house and she is a house dog. She is 40 lbs, which is considered minimum for coyote. Anytime they start yelling, she wants out to run up there but it's too late. Frustrates both of us.

Yes he hissed at her and tried to bite her. He is now more relaxed with her. Really doesn't notice her

I heart from a colleague that his ranch in Idaho was cut into three pieces by a highway, cutting off his cattle from a pasture.

I am thinking you should add traditional electric fence on the outside of the poultry fence. six strands with a higher voltage charger

That's what I'm going to do to fort duck knox, put traditional wire around it, so nothing can get in at night.
